Moshav Shekef is an old established agricultural cooperative located in the eastern Lachish region. The moshav is currently experiencing significant growth, and has an expansion plan that includes 56 new housing units, expected to attract additional families and significantly increase the size of the community.
The existing mikvah is very old and no longer meets the needs of the current and growing population. Merkaz L’Taharat Ha’Mishpachah is now embarking on a all-inclusive renovation of the mikvah, with the goal of creating a modernized state-of-the-art facility so that residents of Shekef can keep the halachot of taharat ha’mishpachah with comfort and dignity.
The renovated mikvah will provide a fitting facility for the moshav’s current residents as well as for the families expected to join the community. The upgraded facility will ensure access to a proper mikvah for the growing community and support the mitzvah of taharat ha’mishpachah for generations to come
