Beit Hadar is a small village that was founded in 1994. The village is named for the orange tree blossoms that permeate the air and send a tantalizing smell when the orange tree blooms.

Most of the residents are young (the average age is thirty-five years old). The community is a microcosmic copy of Israel with former city dwellers Moshavnik's Kibbutznik's traditional secular and modern orthodox Jews.
